ARRICK ROBOTICS

Welcome to Arrick Robotics. We manufacture easy-to-use, PC-based automation products including stepper motor control systems, linear and rotary positioning tables, robotic workcells, and automation accessories such as pulley reducers and grippers. These products are used in a variety of settings including laboratories, factories, machine shops, and education. Our product line also includes the Trilobot mobile robot platform which is used mainly for AI software research and education.
CALIFORNIA CYBERNETICS COMPANY

Our company was founded in January, 1990 by MIT graduate Helen Greiner and JPL staff member Zoltan Szakaly. Current principals include chairman Zoltan Szakaly and chief engineer Steven Venema. Our company offers a wide selection of high performance and quality products with a high degree of electronic and architectural compatibility. Our multiprocessors, force sensors, grippers, autonomous robots, motor controllers etc all interface to each other via various standard data links, such as fiber optic, serial or parallel link. We have many years of experience in creating complex systems using our products as components. Examples of such systems include robot arm control cells using various robot arms and bilateral teleoperation systems, which allow the operator to feel the forces that the robots are excerting. We routinely provide customized software at no cost with our products.
CYBERMATION

Since 1989 CYBERMATION has been Manufacturing and Distributing world wide the high quality and economical SCK-2000 Motion Control System. It is an affordable alternative for most Companies, Educational Institutions, Engineers and Tool Designers to use without overly taxing your budgets
IS ROBOTICS

IS Robotics was featured in the July '97 issue of National Geographic. This cover story dealt with robots and their place in our society. A picture of IT appeared on the cover.
LONG RANGE SCIENCE ROVER

Beyond the 1997 Microrover Flight Experiment on the Pathfinder Mission to Mars , NASA/JPL intend to continue to use small robotic rovers for planetary surface exploration. This task is designed to expand the current science enabling capabilities of these microrovers, while increasing their range of operation. This work includes exploration of new or improved methods of mobility, manipulation, sensing, computation, and control. The research is divided into three categories:
MCT

MCT is a German company and manufactures single board computers, cross compilers and software tools for embedded systems development. MCT was founded in 1984 in Berlin, Germany. In the beginning MCT manufactured 8 and 32 bit microprocessor systems from the Motorola MC68k familie as well as VMEbus systems based on the MC68k CPUs. Later products used CPUs from other manufacturers like the Z80 by Zilog, Toshibas TMP68301 and Microchips PIC16C84, too. MCT developed the ECO-C-Compiler, which is based on the GNU-C-Compiler, for nearly all MC68k microprocessors of Motorola.
ROBOTICS AT SPACE AND NAVAL WARFARE SYSTEMS CENTER

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego) and its predecessor organizations (NRaD, NOSC, NUC, etc.) have been involved in various aspects of robotics since the early 1960's. Robotics research and development at SSC San Diego are currently performed by two groups
ROBOTICS COURSES/KITS

This is a attempt to put together some courses and kits that are not too expensive for people to build. The idea is to set up a 'step-by-step' guide to building various levels and styles of robots. Also in a easy to read format, and advanced explaination of terms (we will need a hyper-glosary and problably a short course on electronics).
ROBOTICS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS LIST

This is the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list for the internet robotics newsgroups comp.robotics.misc and comp.robotics.research. This list provides a resource of answers to commonly (and some uncommonly) asked questions regarding robotic systems, organizations, periodicals, and pointers to numerous other resources on the net.

Welcome to the UMass Laboratory for Perceptual Robotics Robotics Information Page. This page contains pointers to robotics-related information from various sources on the Internet. Questions and comments concerning this page should be directed to connolly@ai.sri.com.
ROBOTICS RESEARCH AT MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY

Robotics research at Manchester University focusses on mobile robotics, emphasizing subsymbolic and behaviour-based approaches to the control of autonomous mobile robots. Recent research has concentrated on the problem of robot navigation .
ROBOTICS AND CONTROL RELATED CONFERENCES

THE ROBOT MENU

The Robot Menu is designed to allow robot builders a place to display their creations. We encourage you to fill out this form to enter your robot.
THE TELEGARDEN

This tele-robotic installation allows WWW users to view and interact with a remote garden filled with living plants. Members can plant, water, and monitor the progress of seedlings via the tender movements of an industrial robot arm. Internet behavior might be characterized as ``hunting and gathering''; our purpose is to consider the ``post-nomadic'' community, where survival favors those who work together. The Telegarden was developed at the University of Southern California and went online in June 1995. In its first year at USC, over 9000 members helped cultivate. In September 1996, the Telegarden was moved to the new Ars Electronica Center in Austria where it will be on display for one year. Our thanks to AEC Director Gerfreid Stocker.
THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA IEEE ROBOTICS SOCIETY

The UCF-IEEE Robotics Society is a sub organization of IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) devoted to the understanding and advancement of intelligent machines capable of maneuvering within an environment.
THE WEB ROBOTS DATABASE

The List of Active Robots has been changed to a new format, called The Web Robots Database. This format will allow more information to be stored, updates to happen faster, and the information to be more clearly presented. Note that now robot technology is being used in increasing numbers of end-user products, this list is becoming less useful and complete
